5:30 AM safari — crocodiles, eagles, and massive elephant herds at the reservoir. Visit the Elephant Transit Home. Afternoon drive to Yala (3 hours).
Dawn-to-dusk safari through Yala's most productive zones. Our tracker knows individual leopard territories. Lunch in the park. Expect leopards, sloth bears, elephants, crocodiles, and hundreds of birds.
Early morning second safari for leopard tracking. Midday rest. Afternoon birding at Bundala National Park — flamingos, pelicans, and painted storks.
Scenic coastal drive to Mirissa (2.5 hours). Afternoon free — relax on the beach, optional surfing lesson. Evening seafood dinner on the sand.
5:30 AM boat departure. Blue whales, sperm whales, and spinner dolphins. The continental shelf drops off just 8km from shore — the world's closest deep-water whale watching. Afternoon free on the beach.
Morning visit to a sea turtle conservation project. Final swim in the Indian Ocean. Transfer to Colombo airport (2.5 hours) or extend your stay on the coast.
